modern calligraphy on a bottle of champagne

this was so fun to letter on this bottle of champagne for Ali & Konnor!

mady of madeline moore events asked me if i could do some fun calligraphy on this bottle of champagne to surprise the lovely couple with. i was delighted to - of course!

i chose out a nice bottle of champagne that had a cute label & soaked the label in this special liquid so it would be easy to remove. after removing it, i cleaned the surface & then did this calligraphy in my favorite gold pen. it was such a fun way to spruce up something out of the norm - and i am sure it was fun to receive & pop open.

mady was also so sweet to drop off some beautiful dried flowers. they sat in my home office for a few years & then i just brought them with my to my new studio space in SE portland. they definitely bring my inspiration for when i am thinking of what kind of florals i should draw up next, or what kind of design would be best for a greeting card. it’s hard to make a space feel like me, but i love mady’s aesthetic with her beautiful brand, and it was fun for that kind of energy to come into my studio space & bring some of her inspiration with it.

with the new year, i had one bottle of champagne all to myself (spread out over multiple days, of course haha) ! it was a fun way to dream up what i want to do in the new year & to make some plans to put those dreams into action. this past year was so crazy for me & our family, i am just getting back into the swing of work & we will see what this year allows me to do, but i am coming in strong with lots of goals & dreams for what i want to see happen with everglow handmade. thank you for being here & supporting me!

it was so fun to work with a local Portland wedding planner & put my modern calligraphy skills to use on this fun, engagement gift. congrats ali & konnor!
